A Dream Come True

This morning as my sweetie was leaving for work, he gave me the blessing that has become traditional every work day. “May the Lord bless you and keep you, may His countenance shine upon you and give you peace.” It seems as if we take turns starting this blessing, and will finish it before the other does. The final reply is always “ditto”.

 

This morning he commented that he likes our morning blessing. He always likes our morning Bible study. He even likes our evening cleanup; even though there are times we neglect it and do double later on. As he was walking to his truck, I reminded him that he was truly a dream come true for me. He stopped, looked at me lovingly and smiled back, telling me that I was on for him also.

 

The Lord amazes me at the blessings He has given, the joys He has brought into our lives, and the strength He gave us through the tough times. It still astounds me that 11 years ago, I did not have a clue who this man was, just hopes that he was out there somewhere. In two months it will be the 11^th anniversary of the first email from this wonderful man asking me to tell him more about myself. In November it will be our 11^th anniversary, yet it seems like yesterday and also seems like we’ve been together so much longer.

 

For anyone that knows Jesus Christ as their Savior, let it be known, that He will provide that perfect mate, as long as you leave the Choice to Him. No other opportunity seemed quite right, and I am so blessed that the Lord kept me just for my sweetie.
