Baby in the House!

     It’s been a while since I posted anything-November and now it is February! Time flies when the world changes on you-again. Just before Christmas, my sweetie found out that he may have a daughter. The paternity test came out positive, and actually we had little doubt after seeing her. The bonus is she and her husband have a baby boy that will be seven months old tomorrow! He is so precious, and has a killer baby smile that melts your heart.

     How do we feel about this? We couldn’t be more blessed. His daughter is wonderful. She’s smart, pretty and is a wonderful mother. Her husband is a very smart man too. From what we can tell, he’s a pretty handy man around the house, so my sweetie hopes we can hire him to help with things we need to have done. I just pray the money will be there, it’s very tight right now.

     Our “unofficial” daughter also thinks it is wonderful. She can’t wait to meet her. I love it that my sweetie also looks forward to their moving back to NC. I can’t wait to see them again. It will be interesting to see her six month old and the grandson together.

     This weekend we had our grandson (how sweet does that sound?) Saturday night for the first overnight at Pawpa and Gramma’s house. He was a perfect little boy and had so much fun. Being showered with attention probably helped, and we couldn’t resist. Of course we had to show him off at church. It was wonderful.

     I had put my phone on vibrate for church and forgot to turn the ringer back on. His daughter tried to call, but I didn’t know. She was a little worried until she called on my sweetie’s cell and asked when we were bringing her baby back. We were already on the way down there. I told him to say tomorrow, he said “how about a couple months?” Of course, he said he was kidding.

     There is so much of her life that he missed and he wants to make up for it as much as he can. I love this man. The way he talks about her, what he wants to do to help, how he prays for her & the family every day. It amazes me how much my love grows for him each day just because of who he is.
