Little Kisses From God
Isn’t it amazing what God will do for His children just to remind them that He loves them? I mean just little things, even if they are as sill as finding a space to park close to the door at Wal-Mart, the mall or the grocery store (nice for us older ladies with bad knees anyway!).
Last night the Lord kissed my 11 year old niece right on the forehead. The way it worked was that a friend sent me some pictures that had multiple viewings—such as a bridge that turned into sailing ships and a mountain waterfall that turned into white robed men on a street. I sent these to my sisters, telling them to show the kids, as they would enjoy them. Little did I know, this 11 year old was doing a reading assignment for school about “pictures (or was it photographs?) that deceive”. When my sister showed her the email, she went crazy! She loved them all and made her mother print them out so she could share them with her class. For her to receive the pictures at just the right time, a lot of planning had to go into it. My friend had forwarded from another friend (and so on so who knows where it came from). Her teacher had to plan her class’ homework weeks or months ago. My friend had to forward the email on just the right day and I had to do the same for my niece to have it just at the right time. Coincidence? I don’t think so!
Today at work, I was in dire need of a certain medication that I won’t mention. One of the customers was filling out paperwork while one of his employees, a young kid I know in his 20’s, was sitting beside him on the couch. It seemed it would take a while for the paperwork, so I asked him if he would run to the store (only feet away from where I work) and pick up the medicine. He said sure. While he was gone, his employer was able to have a private conversation without moving out of the lobby. Having the employee leave the area for a short time and the availability of someone to help me get some medicine are things I consider kisses from God for both of us.
Then again, was I not feeling good so the customer could be blessed with the break? I know he is a Christian also…..hmmm…..
As we say in church, God is good ALL the time, in little and big ways.
